An AMG R63. Saw one of these last night as I was walking through a parking lot. Fairly rare to see one of these.

The R-Class you saw isn’t a R63, I think it’s more likely a wack badge job. The R63 got other bumbers and quad exhaust tips.

Hmmm, you're probably right. It fooled me because I have to admit I've never studied the R63 too closely. So I guess if you're going to fake something, it might as well be an obscure car. It also had different AMG wheels. Which I must say looked way better than the factory option.

It’s very stealth. There was one near the school I attended last year and I could only tell by the distinctive V8 sound that it was a R63 and not just AMG bumpers on a normal R-Class.

I can’t tell from your pictures, but did you happen to notice if it had the quad exhausts? That’d be a dead give away either way.

fairly rare is an understatement, they made a certain low number of these things (i forgot oops) and not many people had the desire to buy it. that said when you do see a real one, consider it a very special occasion

Yeah, the pictures blow. I took them as I was walking by, since there we people in other cars around there and didn't want to seem like I was casing the car or something. I'm fairly certain there was not quad exhausts.

That makes sense, guess the unicorn hunt continues. There are a lot of R-Classes running around my hometown, which I am currently in, maybe I’ll see one. I swear I’ve seen one before, as this is a pretty affluent area, but then again I’m probably remembering wrong.

Looks like fake-azz LED fog lamps as well. Attention seeker with the Merc decal and K-Klass no plate-front plate.
Had an E55...the real fog lamps were like $400 a piece to replace!

Those LEDs are just drl from what I can tell. I absolutely hate them and don’t get me started on the fugly plate with a Mercedes model that doesn’t exist. K-Class, lel.
The owner probably couldn’t afford the more complex repairs.

I zoomed in on my phone where I took it, and it's a football player in a three point stance. It says 11K above the player. #91 on the player. And the word Clearview below the player. I'm fairly certain Clearview is a high school around here. Somewhere. Basically, it's just another one of those stupid "my kid plays this sport" sticker.

you have to be a special kind of crazy to buy one of these. you want a mini van, not an SUV. but you want a V8. a high performance V8. WTF

I imagine the product planning meetings. Its the van for the man who’s wife forced him to buy one.
